Special Occasion Cakes
Now that summer is in full swing and the party season has begun, I thought now would be a good time to talk about special occasion cakes. The team at Vegan Sweet Tooth loves to work together on the different special occasion cakes that we do. Some are wedding cakes, others are birthday cakes, no matter the reason, they are always fun and creative. We cherish the time we spend with our clients planning the perfect cake for each event. I thought I would share some of the recent ones, and get your taste buds watering and your creative juices flowing!
This cake was for a Bowling Birthday Bash. We made the cake a topsy turvy style to create a little movement. The cake is covered in fondant, and lined with little bowling pins. It was then topped off with a HUGE bowling ball on top, to take the cake!
This cake was made for another birthday, but this time it was for a beer drinking boy! We made the cake the shape of a typical beer bucket and filled it with all the goodies. The beer bottles and the ice cubes are made out of isomalt sugar, and are 100% edible. The bottles even break like a real beer bottle if smashed over someone's head!!! ( don't do that at home! and don't ask how we know that...)
This cake was for Emily's Bat Mitzva, a little bit ago. Emily really likes the arts, so her mom thought that it would be fun to make the cake similar to a painter's pallet. I think it turned out beautifully!
This wedding cake was one of the first of this wedding season this year. This cake was a really great experience with making flowers. The Calla Lillies, and the Orchids were all hand made out of gum paste, and hand painted to look realistic. They took three days to make, but they turned out beautifully, and made the cake.
So if you have a special occasion coming up, don't forget to make it extra special, and order a special cake! All specialty cakes require a meeting with Rebecca to discuss details. Appointments are available Tuesday thru Friday 12pm - 4pm. We offer delivery service for our specialty cakes, all delivery fees vary due to size and distance.
